MLS Power Rankings: Week 13

It was a week of role reversals as many teams at the top of the table had disappointing results and teams at the bottom impressed with their matches.  New York, the only team in last week's top 5 to get max points, move back to the top of the rankings.  Besides than the Red Bulls, other big risers were KC, Colorado, San Jose and Houston while FC Dallas and DC United slid the most.

1. New York Red Bulls (5)
Record:  5W-2L-7D
Last Week:  2-1 Win vs New England Revolution
Next Week:  June 10 at Portland Timbers
Red Bulls get top spot by default as the only team in the top to get max points last week.

 
2. Los Angeles Galaxy (1)
Record:  8W-2L-7D
Last Week: 2-2 Draw vs Toronto FC
Next Week:  June 18 at Colorado Rapids
Disappointing draw against a depleted TFC side missing many on the backline.

3. Seattle Sounders (3)
Record:  5W-4L-7D
Last Week:  2-2 Draw vs Vancouver Whitecaps
Next Week:  June 18 at Toronto FC
Within 5 minutes Qwest Field goes from elation to despair as they settle for draw.

4. Colorado Rapids (7)
Record:  5W-3L-7D
Last Week:  1-0 Win at Portland Timbers
Next Week:  June 18 vs Los Angeles Galaxy
 Late goal by Moor extends Colorado's unbeaten streak to 9.

5. Real Salt Lake (4)
Record: 6W-3L-3D
Last Week:  2-1 Loss at Columbus Crew, 1-1 Draw at Philadelphia Union
Next Week:  June 18 vs DC United
RSL only pick up a single point out of two road games.

6. FC Dallas (2)
Record:  7W-4L-4D
Last Week:  1-0 Win vs New England Revolution, 4-1 Loss vs Sporting Kansas City
Next Week:  June 18 at Chivas USA
FCD open week with win but end it with a devastating loss at home.

7. Philadelphia Union (6)
Record: 6W-3L-4D
Last Week:  1-1 Draw vs Real Salt Lake
Next Week:  June 18 at Vancouver Whitecaps
Union return to their goal scoring woes as they are unable to get a win against Western power.

8. San Jose Earthquakes (11)
Record:  5W-4L-4D
Last Week:  4-2 Win at DC United
Next Week:  June 15 at Sporting Kansas City
Wondo who?  Quakes may have found secondary scoring to go along with Wondolowski.

9. Columbus Crew (8)
Record:  4W-4L-6D
Last Week: 2-1 Win vs Real Salt Lake, 1-0 Loss vs Chicago Fire
Next Week:  June 18 at Houston Dynamo
Crew win the harder game and lose the winnable one, both at home. 

10. Houston Dynamo (13)

Last Week:  2-1 Win vs Chivas USA
Next Week:  June 18 vs Columbus Crew
Dynamo end winless streak at 7 with win over the Goats.

11. Chivas USA (10)
Record:  4W-5L-5D
Last Week:  2-1 Loss at Houston Dynamo
Next Week:  June 18 vs FC Dallas
 Chivas lose on the road versus Dynamo and now return home to face other Texas team.

12. DC United (9)

Last Week: 4-2 Loss vs San Jose Earthquakes
Next Week:  June 18 at Real Salt Lake
United follow up successful western trip with dissapointing loss at home.

13. Chicago Fire (15)

Last Week:  0-0 Draw at Sporting Kansas City, 1-0 Win at Columbus Crew
Next Week:  June 18 at New England Revolution
Impressive week with draw to open new park in KC and then win in Columbus.

14. Portland Timbers (12)

Last Week:  1-0 Loss vs Colorado Rapids
Next Week:  June 19 vs New York Red Bulls
Jel Wen Park has lost some luster as the Timbers lose 2 straight at home and 3 overall.

15. New England Revolution (14)

Last Week:  2-1 Loss at New York Red Bulls
Next Week:  June 15 vs Toronto FC, June 18 vs Chicago Fire
Revs lose another close one to extend losing streak to 4.

16. Sporting Kansas City (18)

Last Week:  0-0 Draw vs Chicago Fire, 4-1 Win at FC Dallas
Next Week:  June 17 vs San Jose Earthquakes
SKC get results reversed as they draw to open new park then surprisingly win on road in Dallas.

17. Toronto FC (17)

Last Week: 2-2 Draw at Los Angeles Galaxy
Next Week:  June 15 at New England Revolution, June 18 vs Seattle Sounders
Impressive road draw late by a TFC squad with multiple players missing.

18. Vancouver Whitecaps (16)
Record:  1W-6L-8D
Last Week:  2-2 Draw at Seattle Sounders
Next Week:  June 18 vs Philadelphia Union
Despite goal by Hassli, Whitecaps are only team with a single victory.
