The defending champions dominated the expansion Timbers before giving up a meaningless goal late in the game.

A late goal by teenage sensation Agudelo salvaged a victory versus the struggling Sounders.

New addition Omar Bravo dazzled the league with his two goals and makes the former Wizards a MLS contender.

Disappointing result for last year's MLS runner up to draw against weaker team at home

7. Seattle Sounders

A preseason favorite lost twice in a week but both losses came to top clubs in MLS.

The most talked about match south of the border with return of Charlie Davies also showed how dangerous United may be this year.

If winning opener vs Canadian rival wasn't enough, the Caps scored 4 goals which was not expected by anyone.

Despite being outplayed by the Dynamo the sophomore team escaped with a victory in their opener.

The Fire impressed and surprised many by coming out of Dallas with any kind of result.

14. New England Revolution
Record:  0W-0L-1D

Chivas could not handle Omar Bravo and lost their home opener.

The rebuilding process did start in the right foot for the Crew.

17. Portland Timbers
Record:  0W-1L-0D
Last Week:  3-1 Loss at Colorado Rapids
The Timbers were hammered for 3 goals in the first 30 minutes to the defending MLS Champions.

The Aron Winter era did not begin well with a loss to their Canadian rival where the scoreline was actually flattering for TFC.
