MLS Power Rankings: Week 11

There were a couple of surprises as Week 11 ended in the MLS as two clubs that seemed unbeatable at home lost for the first time in league play.  For the Timbers it was a five game streak since the beginning of their season while for Real Salt Lake it was a streak that had lasted for more than a season.  The biggest risers for this week were DC United who collected the win Portland while RSL dropped the most because of not only their loss but what the teams behind them did.  New England went up in the rankings due to TFC dropping after their horrendous loss to the Philadelphia Union.

1. Los Angeles Galaxy (1)
Record:  8W-2L-5D
Last Week: 1-0 Win vs Houston Dynamo, 1-0 Win at New England Revolution
Next Week:  June 3 vs DC United
It’s an impressive week when you can collect six out six points

2. FC Dallas (4)
Record:  6W-3L-4D
Last Week:  1-0 Win at Seattle Sounders, 2-2 Draw at Houston Dynamo
Next Week:  June 4 vs New England Revolution

3. Seattle Sounders (5)
Record:  5W-4L-5D

4. New York Red Bulls (3)
Record:  4W-2L-6D
Last Week:  1-1 Draw at Vancouver Whitecaps
Next Week:  June 4 vs Columbus Crew
Workman like draw for NY team missing both DPs

5. Philadelphia Union (6)
Record: 6W-3L-2D
Last Week:  6-2 Win at Toronto FC

Union offense explodes, although against poor TFC side
